|Parish Nurse ProgramFocusing on the unique spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the congregation, the parish nurse supports a holistic approach to health care, emphasizing the spiritual dimension of patient needs. Through this health care apostolate, the parish nurse may bring the Eucharist to those who are ill or disabled and needing special support at home, hospital, or nursing home. A parish nurse visit also provides in-home physical and safety assessments, health care education, counseling, and referrals.
The parish nurse program provides a monthly blood pressure screening clinic in Wittman Library. Additionally, a secondary blood pressure clinic and senior exercise group are made available to the V.I.P. Club.
The program sponsors blood donation opportunities usually four times a year in March, May, August, and November. If you would like to donate blood contact MaryAnne Frank at 612-787-1182 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
