Reverend Troy Przybilla, Pastor


Father Przybilla was ordained a priest in 2005. He was assigned as the parochial vicar for St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Forest Lake for two years and then as pastor of Immaculate Conception in Lonsdale for three and a half years. He has been the Archdiocesan vocations director for the past four and a half years and is now serving as our pastor for the people of St. Charles Borromeo.


Deacon Stephen M. Najarian

Deacon Najarian was ordained in 2003 and was asssigned to St. Charles as deacon that same year.  Deacon Najarian assists at daily and weekend liturgies.  He is the sacristan for St. Charles and coordinates our ministry to the sick and poor.  Click here for

Jacob Nelson, Director of Faith Formation

Jacob is responsible for the supervision of the Faith Formation programs from the baptism program through adult education. He works with R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults), sacramental preparation, religious education, prayer groups and Scripture study, as well as Wittman Library.  Jacob has 
a Masters degree in Pastoral Theology and will graduate with a Masters degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics in the Spring of 2018.

MaryAnne Frank, R.N., Parish Nurse

MaryAnne provides health education/information services, visits the sick and home bound, conducts blood pressure clinics, coordinates blood drives, and maintains emergency preparedness/disaster response for church facilities.  Click here for biography.

Tom Pomeroy, Business Administrator

Tom oversees the finances and day-to-day business operations of the parish community.  He handles the parish payroll and parish/diocesan finances.  Tom also manages the maintenance of parish facilities.

  Tom Harrington,
Director of Stewardship & Development

Tom is responsible for the development and maintenance of the ongoing, comprehensive stewardship and development program at St. Charles Borromeo.  The stewardship and development program exists to communicate more effectively the mission and objectives of the parish and school, and to obtain support, both human and financial.  It is the primary objective of the stewardship and development director to engage, welcome, and involve parishioners and others in their support of the parish and school, fostering commitment of their time, talent, and financial assistance.

Rachel Houglum, 
Director of Youth and Young Adults

Rachel is the head of the formation for our high school youth and the young adults. She serves in various ways through weekly youth gatherings, retreats and other events.

Samantha Bertrand, Communications Secretary

Samantha is responsible for all aspects of parish communications including, but not limited to, publicity, the weekly bulletin, quarterly newsletter, website, and social media. 


Gayle Prola, Parish Secretary
Gayle is the special assistant and secretary to the Pastor and secretary to the parish staff.  She is responsible for coordinating the use of parish facilities as well as the parish calendar.  Gayle maintains the sacramental records.  She also coordinates the Catholic Service Appeal, schedules altar servers, and performs many other various office tasks.

Mary Perrin, Financial & Census Secretary

Mary maintains the parish census and parish financial records for parishioners.  She is the assistant to the business administrator and coordinates bulk mailings.


Diane Vnak, Music Director

Diane directs the St. Charles choir and manages the music for liturgies, weddings, and funerals.
