Volunteer Opportunities

St. Charles Parish is grateful for our many volunteers who so generously give of their time and talent to support our programs, staff, and community.  May God bless them for their service.

Ushers/Greeters Needed -- Men and women are needed to greet people before Mass, help with seating, take up the collection, distribute Sunday bulletins, and provide assistance to parishioners as needed.  To volunteer, please contact the Parish Office at 612-781-6529.

Church Cleaners Needed! -- Men and women are needed to do light cleaning of the church on Mondays.  Duties include tidying up the pews and vacuuming.  If you can help, please email Gayle at the parish office, gprola@stchb.org.  Most people volunteer to help once a month for an hour.

Join the Choir! Our church offers many opportunities to raise your voice in thanks and praise to God. There is a place for you, no matter what your age or ability. If you are new to town or to the church, this is an excellent starting point. We are proud of our music program, and we are eager for you to join us. If you have questions or would like to join call Diane at 612-788-5186.

Funeral Brunch Volunteers: More info coming soon! Interested? Contact the parish office.

VIRTUS Training

If you will be working with youth or vulnerable adults, you need to have a background check and attend a VIRTUS training session as mandated by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.  If in your volunteer work for St. Charles, you handle $250 or more, you need to have a background and credit check. All volunteers need to read and sign the Volunteer Code of Conduct. If you have questions about how to get VIRTUS trained, contact Tom Pomeroy at tpomeroy@stchb.org or 612-787-1151.

Life is the time that is granted to us to express concretely
the potential riches which each of us bears and to make our contribution to the common progress of mankind.  Life is the time that is given to us to embody in ourselves and in history
the values of love, goodness, joy, justice, and peace,
to which the human heart aspires.
--Blessed John Paul II, address, Rome, 1981
