MISSION
The St. Charles Women's Council is committed to forming disciples of Jesus Christ, first as individuals, then within our own families and parish, and then to those in need outside our parish doors. As daughters of Mary, the first disciple of Christ, we see our work in light of the Church's New Evangelization - the timeless mission of making Christ known and loved.
BELOVED
Since all women of the parish are members of the St. Charles Women's Council, our monthly Beloved meetings are designed to be relevant to all women. At each meeting, we have time for fellowship, fun, food, drinks, and time to explore the spiritual theme for the month. Spiritual formation may consist of a short talk or presentation, with time for discussion afterwards. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you will be nourished by rich discussion with your sisters in Christ! Please see our 2023-2024 Calendar for dates and topics for this year's Beloved meetings.
SERVICE
The Women's Council also sponsors many service activities throughout the year. Members volunteer at Feed My Starving Children, host an annual Bake Sale, provide monthly drivers for Meals on Wheels, support local food shelves, provide meals for parishioners in need (Meal Train), sponsor the Corpus Christi Ice Cream Social, and pray the rosary prior to parish funerals, just to name a few of the things we do. We also organize collections of household goods in November, hats and mittens at Christmas, and travel-size toiletries for Catholic Charities during Lent.
If you have any questions or ideas for activites please call or email co-presidents Cathy Harrington or Darray Hartig.
